Nervous System : Brain and Cranial Nerve Manipulation

Dora Franco, B.Sc., D.O., BI-D, ( www.terapia-sacrocraniana.blogspot.com ) completed the Course Nervous System : Brain and Cranial Nerve Manipulation. This Course is the last segment of a series of four advanced courses entirely dedicated to the Nervous System, developed and taught by Jean-Pierre Barral, D.O., MFR (F) and Alain Croibier, D.O..

The Cranial nerves supply sensivity to the bone, periosteum, sutures and meninges. Thus, central to obtaining an effect on the dura matter, the falx of the brain and the tentorium of the cerebellum, is the treatment of their nervous system.

The brain is shot through with arteries and veins. Changes in intracranial pressure have vascular and cerebral consequences. To function at its best, the brain requires malleability and plasticity. By manually modifying intracranial pressure, we produce promising effects on the hydromechanics of the brain.

This Course explores in detail :
- the anatomy and function of the brain and cranial nerves;
- how to discover typical pain patterns arising from dysfunction of the brain and from the cranial nerves;
- how compressions of the brain cause dysfunction in the cranial nerves; and
- how intercranial pressure affects the function of the entire body, as well as cranial techniques to bring about normal functioning.

Highly qualified therapists learn about integration of diagnosis into treatment sessions, namely about :
- Brain and cerebellum compression and decompression;
- Differential diagnosis between skull, suture and brain fixation;
- Cranial nerve manipulation, including of facial, eye and ear nerves, and glossopharyngeal, vegus, accessory nerves, and hypoglossal nerve manipulation.
